Mozzie Trap Designs
What type of Mozzie trap to buy...There are a couple of main types of Mozzie trap…
1) Chemical lure mozzie traps - can be a simple plastic bottle with a chemical to attract and drown the mozzie.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Messy, Take a lot of time, Have to be refilled and solutions mixed every 2-3 weeks, Ineffective
2) Bug zappers (bug zappa!) - these use light to attract the mozzie and an electrified grid to fry the mozzie.
Pros: Quite effective indoors
Cons: Constant bussing, Loud zapping, Need regular cleaning, Burning insect smell, Short life span
3) Electric water traps - these use a light to lure the mozzie, then air flow traps the insect in water.
Pros: Effective at night, quiet, low power draw
Cons: Need continual cleaning / water adding.
We now sell a device that combines the best of these features while negating most of the cons!

Many of our mosquito traps use 3 ways to attract the biting pest…
1) UV light. While many traps use this method alone, the bulbs often fail. We sell some traps that have bulbs that have been tested to tens of thousands of cycles! They are clean and bright and VERY effective.
2) Heat. Warmth generated by the bulb(s) in some of the traps we sell mimic the body heat of a human or animal that attracts the mozzie..
3) Carbon Dioxide. The biting mosquito (the female) is attracted to animals and humans by the carbon dioxide they breathe out. CO2 is released from special Titanium Dioxide bulbs attracts the biting mozzie to the trap.
TRILOGY
These 3 methods combined are very effective at luring the nuisance mosquito (particularly the biting female) and trapping her, nearly silently. This effectively breaks the breeding cycle and reduces the risk of being bitten.
WHAT NEXT?
The mozzie is then sucked into the trap silently where it stays. Every week or two you can easily empty & clean the trap (no water needed!).
Some even have an auto-on / off function! This means you don't even have to turn it on or off - it will do that according to the light conditions! Plug it in & forget it!
